Dave Sensei has practiced Kokikai Aikido for more than 17 years. Dave Sensei is a 3rd degree black belt and co-founder of KOKIKAI SNJ. In addition to Aikido, Dave Sensei has trained in combat techique as a former Marine.

Dave Sensei began his training in Aikido at The College of New Jersey in 1988 under Dennis Embert Sensei and Leon Brooks Sensei, 7th dan, the highest Kokikai Aikido Instructior in the United States.

Dave Sensei started teaching in Somerdale, NJ.and has continued as an instructor at Marlton location in April of 1998. Dave also teaches Monday nights at the Newtown Racquet Club in Newtown Pennsylvania (see the affliate dojos)

In addition to his other training, Dave Sensei trains directly with Kokikai-Ryu Aikido's founder, Sensei Shuji Maruyama, at camps, classes, and advanced seminars and in Japan. In addition,
